Michael Bagshaw B. Bus(acc), Dip Fin Services
Finance / Business Consultant

Michael grew up on the family farm at Malinong in the Upper South East and was actively farming until the age of 34. He then studied accounting as a mature aged student and gained employment at a large second tier chartered accounting firm in Adelaide. He then returned to the country and started Statewide Business Services in 2004. Since then he has provided finance and consulting services to a large number of clients.

He has an empathy for all small business and the challenges they face and has a keen interest in developing systems within business so that they can run more smoothly.

Michael has been on the board of the Childhood Cancer Association for over 6 years and has been the treasurer of the association for the last 4 years. Amongst other things the association provides accommodation for country families that need to be away from home whilst their child is on treatment. Alice Morley Ba. Ag.Sc., Dip Fin Services, DFS1,2 & 3 – Consulting / Risk Insurance

Alice grew up in Meningie until she went to university to study her Bachelor of Agricultural Science. She then moved to the Fleurieu Peninsula and worked on various farms and studied part of a Business & Marketing Diploma. These studies were cut short to work for Yankalilla Rural Supplies (CRT) in agronomy and animal health. She then worked for Landmark Mt Compass and on her husband’s family farm in Parawa, until moving to Meningie with her husband Byron to work for the family earthmoving business.

Alice has always had a niggling interest in business and finance. Since working at Statewide Business she has completed her Cert IV in Financial Services, a Diploma in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) and is currently completing her Diploma in Financial Planning, concentrating on Personal Advice in Risk Insurance and Superannuation.

Alice is currently undertaking some intense training in Risk Insurance, she will be working closely with Deborah Heindl in both SA and Qld. This enables us to offer Risk Insurance through Guardian Financial Planning from our premises here in Meningie.

Alice’s interests include her young daughter Nadia, horses, travel and anything outdoors.

Sara Hiscock – Reception & Administration

Born in Mount Gambier, Sara first moved to Meningie at the age of 8, living on a property just outside of Meningie. She owned horses and ducks and learnt how to drive a manual at a young age. Sara completed her education at Unity College in Murray Bridge and began studying her certificate II in Business Administration.

Sara is planning to start studying for her Diploma in Financial services (Finance / Mortgage Broking) very soon.

Sara has worked in the Hospitality and Retail industries. She plans to save up and travel around Europe. Her interests include a huge variety of music, cars and How I Met Your Mother.

Lindy Turner B. Bus (acc), Dip. Fin Services – Administration Management

Lindy has been involved in the local area for many years and lives with her partner and family on their property. Lindy is a wealth of knowledge for those needing help getting accounting files correct! She has had 17 years experience in private industry accounting. Her extensive experience and in depth understanding of programs such as MYOB and EXCEL make her a fantastic resource.

Lindy is looking forward to training clients in MYOB and EXCEL, and helping clients understand and relate to their financial statements. Lindy has completed her Cert IV in Financial Services and also her Diploma in Financial Services.

Lindy’s interests include camping, horses, gardening and motorbikes.

Kirsty Bagshaw – ASSA Administration Officer

Kirsty also works from our office. Married to Michael, she was also involved in farming for many years, before moving into Meningie. Kirsty has been involved on all levels with AgriServices SA (ASSA), since it’s inception. She manages the administration of the 2 ASSA stores at Keith and Cooke Plains.
