This part of the business is mainly to do with Wills and the importance of the having your will set up correctly to ensure the persons wishes adhered to. Another part of wealth protection is asset protection and ensuring your assets are held in appropriate entities. We work closely with our lawyers to ensure your will and entity structures are set up properly.
We offer a Will service including Power or Attorney and Power of Guardianship. In some instances it may be appropriate to set up a Testamentary Trust as part of the will and we are able to offer this as well.
As we also deal in personal risk insurance we have good knowledge around whether life insurance should be held personally or within superannuation, there are pros and cons for both options including the differing tax treatment of any payouts.
Wills are vitally important to ensure your assets end up where you want them to, they are also a good wealth protection tool. If you are a business owner it is important to have well structured buy / sell agreement in your will.
